1. Acceptance of terms

By using this website or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or join the waitlist.

2. About Confidant

Confidant is in development and is not yet generally available. We are building a service that lets people search for advisors with direct experience of a specific problem and book a paid call with them. Features described on this website may change before launch. Joining the waitlist registers your interest and helps shape what we build. It is not a guarantee of access on any particular date, or at all.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over to join the waitlist. The information you give us must be accurate, and it must be about you.

4. Joining the waitlist

Joining is free. We do not ask for payment details and you are under no obligation to use Confidant when it opens. By joining you agree we may email you about the waitlist and the launch, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can leave the list at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

If you tell us you would like to be an advisor, that is an expression of interest only. It is not an application, and it does not mean you will be accepted. Advisors will go through a vetting process before they can be found in search.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the website for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading or someone else’s information
• Use automated tools to submit forms, collect data from the site or overload it
• Try to gain access to parts of the site or its data that are not meant for you
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of the site

6. Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback about Confidant, you agree we may use them to improve our service without owing you anything for doing so.

7. Intellectual property

The Confidant name, logo, website design and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may view the site for your own personal use, but you may not copy, modify or distribute our content without our written permission.

8. Advisors and general information

Content on this website is general information only. Once Confidant launches, advisors will be independent people sharing their own experience. A conversation with an advisor is not legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice, and you should get that from a qualified professional where you need it. We will set out the full terms for advisor calls, including bookings, payments and cancellations, before launch.

9. Third-party links and services

Our website or emails may link to other sites, such as LinkedIn. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Until launch, the website and the waitlist are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including about availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Confidant is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or the waitlist. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Suspension and ending

We may remove you from the waitlist or block access to the site at any time, including if these terms are breached. You can leave the waitlist at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Confidant develops, and will change the “last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
